Anke wurde geboren und lebte in Hamburg, Deutschland. Dort studierte sie auch Betriebswirtschaft und arbeitete als Prüfer in einer Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft und später als Manager in einer Ölhandels-Gesellschaft. Im Jahr 1995 entschloss sie sich an die Südkueste von Nova Scotia auszuwandern. Dort änderte sie ihre bisherige Lebensform und geniesst nun die neue Lebensqualität, umgeben von der fantastischen Landschaft und wundervollen Mitmenschen. Seit 1996 arbeitet sie als Immobilienmaklerin in ihrer adoptierten Heimat.
